Customers/Vendors/Suppliers,

Subject: Cyber Security Alert

To all of our Valued Business Partners,

We have recently seen an increase in the volume of fraudulent email, phishing email, sent to our employees and to many of our customers and vendors as well. This email is sent by people attempting to make it look as if they have come from a DiCarlo employee. In one recent case, the email came from “name@dicarlofoods.com”, our domain is “@dicarlofood.com”, note that there is no “s” in our domain name. In another case a vendor received an email with the domain “dicarlofoodservice.com” which is also not ours.

We urge you all to be more vigilant in determining the validity of any email that you receive that is purported to have come from us. Inspect the email for any telltale signs that it may not be legitimate. If you suspect the email to be fraudulent, do not click on any links in the email, do not open any attachments and do not pass it to another user. Please notify your IT department immediately, they can advise you on the best course of action and blacklist the bogus domain to prevent any future attempts from the same source.

Also, please know that DiCarlo Distributors will never ask you to change banking or other sensitive information through an email. If you do receive such a request, purportedly from us, please let us know immediately by phone to the appropriate party.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,
DiCarlo Distributors Inc.
